Brendan interned with Sooner Flight Academy back in June and had a great time. Last week, he was a student at Sooner Flight Academy. They did things like build and shot rockets, built and flew kites and they did team building exercises on a ropes course. But the high light of the week was the two flights in a Piper Warrior. The first flight on Monday was just an orientation. The second flight on Wednesday, Brendan actually flew the plane. By himself. For about 15 minutes!

Above, you can see his name on "Tail 10". Below, Bren, two other students and the pilot walking out to their plane.

Photography courtesy of J.C. The littles and I did not get to see this year's flights. Do you remember
last year's flight? Cait was just a wee little thing!

Friday, we all went to the Graduation Ceremony. They hold it in the hanger. They don't have air conditioning in the hanger. It's 100+ degrees out these days. But it was enjoyable nonetheless and we're so proud of our Bug.

Next year, Bren hopes to intern again. It will be a paid position once he is 16. There is one more level of SFA that he can participate in as a student. We are hopeful that he will take it next year as well. It was wonderful to hear positive reports of Bren's work from the teacher he worked with (who also taught his class) and the director of the program.
