Sunday at the Gardens & Park

Sunday, after lunch and naps, we went to the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory and Myriad Gardens.  We purchased a Groupon membership for $36 (our regular price, 1 time admission would have been $25) and this was our first visit.  Not the best time of year to go, it's terribly hot, but we enjoyed it anyway.

After the Crystal Bridge, the kids played in the water in the gardens (before Cait fell and hit her head!)

Then the kids played on the play ground for a couple minutes while I tried to find ice with no luck.

The girls & I stayed home to rest while the guys went to church. Cait entertained herself with the hat & glove basket then both girls helped make lunch.

In between, I found some great finds thrift store shopping.  I've been wanting a picnic basket for a long time and found this baby for just $5!  I also got lots of clothes, kids books, some home decor to "pinterest" and a bag of craft supplies!

A very good day!

Birthday Tea

Gramma and Papa put together a sweet birthday lunch and tea for a belated birthday get together for our two year old Cait!

Cait's shirt says, "I'm the birthday girl".  She even has pink toes for her special day!
Enjoying lunch!  Egg and tuna salad, cucumber, ham, pimento and even PB&J.  Yum! "Smile" for the camera!
Cait sang, "Happy to you" ALL day long!!!  And she loved sharing mommy's tea in a real tea cup!

Sweet cousin Bella brought Cait her first bouquet of flowers!

Brother and all the cousins sat close by as she opened her gifts.  What special friends!  They all played so nicely together after gifts were open.  Definitely a blessing!

Fourth Week of Summer

Lily has been sucking her thumb off and on.  It's so cute!

And here's a belated picture of the 3rd Place art work from the OCHEC Homeschool Convention this year!  Great job, Bren.  Thanks Gramma for all the art lessons!!!

Monday: Shaving Cream Play
Now that Cam's in a boot, he can play messy fun outside!

While Cait and Lily napped, Cam had fun drawing maps and more with 3D glitter paint!

Tuesday: Errands, Chuck E Cheese, feed ducks at the park and library time

(Lily slept through CEC; look how big she is in her carseat!)
Tuesday evening a bad case of mastitis settled in on me and I spent the next 3 days with fever, chills and lots of unwanted yuck.  We didn't get much else done the rest of the week.  I did manage 2 small projects though.

Wednesday: Glow sticks bath time

Friday: Baking soda, vinegar & food color play.
Saturday and Sunday deserve their own posts this week!  Looking forward to a fresh new, healthy week!

4 months old!

Lily is 4 months old today.  She is a roly-poly, happy baby!  She is eating and sleeping well and has begun to really interact.  She loves to be kissed on her cheeks, tickled and even play peek-a-boo.  She is already outgrowing some of her 3-6 month clothes!  She loves her brothers and sister, too.
