Celebrating Love

It's been awhile but don't give up on me.  We've been busy with life in January.  My tablet was "in the shop" awaiting it's turn on the honey-do list so I've missed out on lots of pictures.  I do hope to go back and post on Christmas soon.

But for now, I must admit this has been my favorite Valentine's ever and it's not even here yet! The girls are loving everything Valentine's.  We put some conversation hearts in a mason jar with my candle to fluff up my window sill a bit.
The girls convinced me to pick up flowers while we ran errands this weekend.  And they just so happen to be pink lilies.  Just in time for a pink-loving-Lily to celebrate her BIG 3 birthday!  The girls have had several days of Valentine's crafts. The above kit from Granny had GLITTER!
And we had fun looking for animals we could make with hearts.  The first column was Cait's artwork, the middle is Lily's and the last was mine.  I made mine for an example and gave the girls the hearts and markers and they did the rest without my involvement.  I thought they did a fantastic job!  I think the caterpillars are my favorite!  (The middle row is dogs and the bottom is cats, in case you can't tell)

Time is Marching by...

March went by SO fast.  How time is a funny thing.  We've been keeping busy with school, chores, playdates and regular "life" stuff.
Lily and friend play in my Ikea bookshelves.  Silly kids.  They love having friends over every other week for Robotics.

Lily's "real" birthday: peach cobbler and singing.  Lots of singing!  She loved all the attention.
The girls got more clothes from cousins in Texas.  It is always a treat when we get bags of girly clothes from them!
The beginning of March brought more snow.  The kids aren't crazy about being cold so we did lots of snuggling inside.  Daddy happily made fires in the fireplace to warm us up.

I love the creativity kids have.  Whether it is make believe play or dressing up, they keep me laughing!

Some sunny weather projects.  Homemade "paint" out of corn starch, flour, water and food coloring.  They painted on pizza boxes.
And while Lily napped, Cait and Cam used some real paints.

Lily loves to wear sunglasses upside-down and beads.  She loves to carry things like keys or money and purses.
My daffodils were a little weak after all the cold weather so we snipped them and brought them inside to enjoy.  So pretty!  Spring is such a refreshing time for my spirit.  I am thankful God created such beauty and diversity!

Lots and lots of play time. Cam and Cait and Cait and Lily are becoming such good friends!  I am blessed by seeing them play.
We found a play kitchen for free and the kids are enjoying playing mud kitchen with it!
Giggly girls during devotion time, after yummy egg rolls.  And snuggles on the couch with big brother.

What happened to February?

February zoomed by with lots of school work and some activities, too.  We are getting close to completing Bren's high school career!  So exciting!  Here's a little glimpse into our month:
 Souvenirs from our trip.
Lily and cousin Hensley hang out during PE time
Sign Language Class and crafts after PE.

Bren competed in archery in the Sooner State Games. He did super good!  We're so proud!

Robotics class, taught by dad, for Cam and two of his buddies.
 {Great} Gramma teaches art classes.

Lily finally let {Great} Grampa hold her!

Cait, my crafty little helper, helped make party decorations for Lily's 2nd birthday.  When Daddy told her she can't jump on Lily's bed, she got creative and took the mattress off the bed to jump on it!

We had some beautiful days and we got outside to clean up the back yard.  And we've had several snow days, too.
Lily has slept through the night a couple times - IN HER OWN BED!

Cait began writing her name!  So exciting!  We had a Valentine's Day party at co-op.
After working the food bank on the 15th, we made a quick trip to celebrate PawPaw's birthday.
The girls are always ready to help in the kitchen.  They help roll out dough for empanadas and they love helping make biscuits, too.  And eating the dough.  And being covered in flour!  But I am so grateful for their help and willing spirit!
Cam has join a drama team that practices after our church services so after church and lunch and clean up, we get to kick back and fellowship even longer!  We are so thankful for our church family!
