Wildlife Expo & Catching Up

I twisted my back while in Lawton so I sent JC & Bren to the Wildlife Expo in Guthrie without me today. Cam was running a 102 fever so he stayed with mommy.

This place was perfect for my guys! Best of all, it was all FREE!

Pellet Gun Shooting

Bren's first try at a shotgun! He even hit a disk!!! He said it had a bit of a kick to it! ☺

Petting a hawk

A real alligator

Shooting bears (electronically)

Tomahawk Throwing

Archery

Thursday was my baby sister's 21st Birthday! Woo Hoo!
We went to Coach's in Bricktown to celebrate and then back to mom's for cake & ice cream. Lyn had a bleeding armadillo cake like in that one movie...

Gotta love high chairs & tile floors!

Cameron still enjoys his lawn mower. He is wearing a dust mask on his head!!! So cute!

Wednesday night I took the boys to Lawton. I was excited to help out and be a *small* part of Brad's home coming!

Thursday morning I watched Walker for Amanda. I'm not so good at 2 two-year olds! They did really good, until we locked ourselves out of her house! Good thing it was almost time for her to come home!

Woo Wee!

Friday was my day to drive! Man oh man!

We got up at an early hour (I actually WOKE both boys up for this one!) and headed to the far southeast part of Norman. We drove for an hour to find the Little River Zoo.

I've heard of this place but haven't been there and really didn't know what it was. We went with our home school group from Mustang. I will tell you, it was WELL WORTH the early wake up AND the long drive. I think I paid $8 for Brendan & I to get in.

Most of the animals are wild but people had tried to have them as pets. All guests of the zoo get a full tour and we got to touch many of the animals. Here are "just a few" pictures!

Cameron petting a skunk...the owner had removed it's sprayer.

Brendan hangin' out with the guys

Cameron chillin' with the kids

She brought out a wild kitty for us all to pet! (Lynx, maybe?)

And a biiiiigggg lizard - Cami really liked touching this one!

We got to go into the pin with the kangaroos and feed them bread.

There were many roosters and peacocks wandering around. Some had beautiful colors!

They had many types of monkeys. They were pretty obnoxious!

We got to feed goats, a lamb, potbelly pigs and llamas

They had several foxes; the white one (above) and red (below)

3 black bears

A really pretty turkey (as pretty as a turkey can get, I imagine!)

We got to pet several turtles

There were 4 very friendly porcupines

Two wolves (each were part dog)

Anyway, our tour was about 2 hours then we ate a picnic lunch on the grounds and got to meet more animals after lunch. This place was great & our tour guide did a fantastic job! I can't believe I've lived here as long as I have and I'm just getting to check out some of these great places!

So after a long day, I came home to pack my Uppercase Living suitcases (that I got free on FreeCycle) because I had a Open House all the way out in Harrah, OK. It was about a 45 minute drive, one way. But we had a great time, as always. I got to make new friends and share this fun stuff with others!

I have 9 parties already booked in October (YAY!) and one more who is supposed to reschedule for October. I also have 2 already for November! I'm really excited and pleased that this product sells itself! LOVE IT!

Proud

I have 2 extra buttons if you want them. I paid $3 each. JC says he doesn't like them because Christian is last on the list...oh well.

Happy Birthday to me!

Remember me talking about Cameron's fight with our neighbor's driveway...here's part of the damage. But, you should see the driveway! ☺

Leslie had talked about Pops before but I didn't realize it was such a big deal, or such a cool place. Not to mention, a tourist attraction!

We drove 45 minutes to Pops on Saturday for my birthday lunch with the Tinkers.
The huge soda pop on the street glows neon at night!

Those are sodas lining the windows that face the gas pumps at this restaurant / gas station.

Here were our choices...wanna guess who picked what???

Papa opted for a chocolate shake...and Cameron opted to sit on Papa's lap!

They fry their okra whole!!!

I ordered the Pops BLT. It has egg salad on it!!! YUM YUM!!!

We stopped by the Round Barn on the way home

When I woke up on my birthday, this was the sight out my front door. The picture doesn't do it justice!!!
And here I am. I used some of my birthday money for this shirt...
Mom & Dad got me a nice watch (look cloesly!)
And here I am in my "goin' out" outfit and necklace. This was courtesy of my family members that gave me TARGET gift cards for my birthday!
So, my hubby left work SUPER early and we were off to see Burn After Reading. It was a so-so movie...wouldn't really suggest it. But, the cool part was we saw it at Warren Theaters in Moore.
We sat in the balcony where you have a full service restaurant WHILE watching the movie!!! We ate spinach artichoke dip with flat bread, egg rolls with a yummy peanut sauce and a few drinks. The seats were love seat size and HEATED!!! So, I kicked off my heels and and curled up while we watched the movie and ate some good food, sipping on a good drink.
Afterwards, JC took me to Russell Stovers and we picked out some dark chocolate treats! Then we browsed Hobby Lobby and went to eat ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery because they give away ice cream on your birthday!!!
We picked up the kids, got home and we were in bed by 10. Now, that's a birthday gift!!! It was a good day!

Cam-er-an

My little one...it's so hard! He's so busy and just can't hardly sit still long enough to fall asleep in the afternoons! It is a rare treat when he does! And, when he doesn't, his moods flop around like a fish out of water! But, to keep him busy tonight, I put him back at the counter. He sure loves this spot! He was almost hysterical at times!

After we made dinner rolls together, he sat at the counter for another 20 minutes or so, just working away!

And making faces at mom...

And giggling...

Amanda...do you see his face? Do you know what that is???!!! It is that ****, neverending sucker you guys bought for my boys! Oh, it can make such a mess! ☺

In the end, Cam went outside to play while daddy chatted with the neighbors and fell, scraping up his nose and top lip. So, momma rocked him to sweet sleep and, finally, I get some rest.

Oh, I forgot about the laundry, picking up the toys, preparing dinner for tomorrow, prepping for my Uppercase Living party on Sunday, cleaning out the house for my mom's garage sale next weekend...I'm not even going to think about vacuuming, changing sheets, sweeping, mopping, cleaning the windows and showers and toilets and...well, you get the picture. Good night!
