Oh These Children...

It's so funny to listen to children.  Here are some things we hear around our house...

Cait:
She calls Star Wars "Dun Dun".  You know, "dun dun dun dun-d-dun dun-d-dun".
She says "poopy" when she wants to pee on the toilet.
She says "Lay Down Me" at nap and bed time trying to get me to lay down with her. How can I deny her cuteness?

Cam:
Cam calls Bren "Bren Bug". That is what I call him and it's so funny to hear it out of his younger brother's mouth! And Bren is kind enough to answer him, most days!

Life changes quite a bit when little ones figure out then can open doors.  This morning we heard Lily talking on the monitor, letting us know she was up.  I then hear the door open and Cait goes in. I go down to check and Cait is laying next to Lily, being a sweet big sister, telling her, "Good morning".

I love these stinkers!

Half a Year!!!

We're celebrating Lily's first half of a year with us today! She has such a beautiful smile and she smiles a lot! She sits up really well and has her first two bottom teeth. She gets excited when she sees her brothers, sister or dad. She gets really excited when she sees mom after mom's been away for any length of time! She's not been sleeping or napping very well lately but that will pass soon. Her thighs are SO chubby! She has been wearing 6-9 month clothes for at least a month now.

We love you Lily!

Eye Exams

Monday we lined up the kids at the eye doctor.

Bren gets reading glasses but only for muscle strain.

I don't know why but this picture just warms my heart!

The Rest of the Story

WOW! The rest of our summer FLEW by! It has been three weeks since my last post and we have been busy!  Here are some highlights of our adventures!

Check out the new wheels! Bren's Drivers Ed certificate came in the mail Friday so now he just needs to practice parallel parking and get a little smoother with his shifting and we'll be off to test!

We had a wonderful Family Night at my folks house and this month, we celebrated Bella's 6th birthday. I love seeing the cousins playing together!

Dad and Bren played a quick game of chess while the little ones made eatable spider eggs!

Bren and Cam went to Lawton for four days and then the girls and I went down for two more. But while the boys were gone, Cait seemed lost.  I finally filled the sink with soapy water and that kept her busy for a few hours!

Cait and Lily are beginning to play together! Fun!!!

We got the Wii out after a long time. Wii Fit has fun games for all of us!

We met friends at the Sam Noble Museum for Free Monday. Lily slept almost the entire time!

We went to a spray park with cousin Tae. The kids had a lot of fun!

Cam has a few more postcards but still needs a LOT!

On clingy days, Lily gets to ride in the ring sling. Here she fell asleep while I cleaned house!

Great Wolf Lodge!!!  Cousin Bella invited us to GWL for her birthday and we had so much fun!

Lily in her swim suit. She was the only one who liked the room better than the slides!

For dinner, we ate at Rain Forest Cafe! The staff sang to Bella!

"What?!"

Sweet sleeps.

Yes. We rode that water slide!  Wow, it was scary. And fun!!!

First Day of School...smiles, play and hiding!

Tuesday Cam was completely released from the orthopaedic doc.

Thursday, JC & I went to the Myriad Gardens for "Cocktails in the Gardens". Mom and Dad kept the kids for our date night. I meant to get a picture of us but I forgot.

We ended our first week of school early to join friends at the zoo. And Lily broke her first two teeth!  Fast and furious but loaded with fun and love.
