Christmastime Fun

JC & Brendan have been making swords.
Lots of swords.

Cameron dislocated his elbow.
Apparently this is really painful!

We enjoyed going to our Co-op's Christmas Party.

Such cuties!
"Take a picture, mom!"
Seriously.
Trying cereal.
Bath time.
We took Margaret to look at Chesapeake's Christmas lights for her birthday.
So pretty!

Watching Saturday morning cartoons.
The Oklahoma City Art Museum was free today.
We'd never been.
The glass art work was my favorite.

After the museum, we went to Falcone's Pizzeria for dinner.
And a nap.
Then we stood in line, in the cold, for 30 minutes to ride the canal boat for free.
Did I mention it was cold?
But it was fun.
And the lights were pretty.
And someone got an early Christmas gift.

Fun times as always.
We hope you and your family have a very wonderful Christmas.

Another month bites the dust...

Time keeps getting away from me. How can it already be December? 2011 is just around the corner!!! So is Baby Cait's six month birthday. She hardly even seems a baby anymore.

Baby Cait is quite the fun little girl. She happily takes three naps a day and still wakes through the night. She regularly sits on the floor and plays with her toys. Just this month she has gone from struggling to grab something to nearly mastering the skill. Today she started to fuss in the car and I said, "Get your binky bear, Cait." And she did. Straight to her mouth! She loves to be tickled and to see herself in the mirror. She tolerates baths, I'm not sure she enjoys them. She watches her brothers all the time and I often find her laughing at them. Baby Cait has been such a fun addition to our family this year!

The boys spent part of their Christmas money buying toys for the Shoebox Ministry. We enjoyed an early Sunday morning drive to Carnegie to join Granny and Pop for church, lunch and shoebox collecting. It was amazing to see all the cotton fields on our way out there. On the way home we stopped and took pictures and picked up some cotton from the side of the road.

Another new thing for Baby Cait is drinking water. She loves to drink from her brother's sippy cups and even more from glasses.

We did a little late fall pumpkin carving. Bren's style.

Baby Cait sat in her bumbo chair in the grass while brothers played. See her silly face silly face? (first picture)

After Bren helped Cam, he did a little power tool work on his own pumpkin.

Cam's pumpkin was near the end of its life, so Cam was allowed to demolish it. Boys.

This past Sunday, Cam's elbow was dislocated. This happened to me several times as a kid (maybe it was my shoulder?); I obviously don't remember how painful it is. When Cam came inside SCREAMING, and it didn't subside, we were off to the ER. Fortunately, the doctor quickly popped it back in and within 10 minutes the pain was forgotten. Cam was supposed to wear a sling for a couple days. HA! Every time I looked the sling was hanging around his neck and he was using both arms. But it did make for a cute picture.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at my mom's house. We are blessed to be joined by Granny and Pop for this meal. Now on to Christmas baking and house cleaning. Wrapping up school for the calendar year.
