Big girl is 8 months!

"Little bit" tips the scale at 21 pounds; she weighs as much as her 2 year old sister!  Lily is already wearing 12 month clothes.  She said her first word, "mama", four times on Friday but not again since.  She loves to laugh when Cait laughs and she loves for "mama" to hold her.  She's tried avocado and guacamole, peas, green beans, rice, dry toast and tomatoes.  I still can't eat dairy (it hurts her tummy), so I am very careful about letting her eat off our plates.  Plus she still only has her two bottom teeth. She can wiggle from one side of the room to the other but she can't quite figure out the crawling yet. She loves The Wheels on the Bus and If You're Happy and You Know It and even Cait has learned to sing The Wheels on the Bus to her when she's fussy in the car!

Bren asked Uncle Mike to take him and friends rappelling for his birthday "party".  Mike always has great team building exercises before they get to rappel.

The guys went down Thursday night to camp and the girls and I went down just for Friday.  It was chilly all day and Lily only wanted mama but Cait and Cam had a blast playing with friends and cousins.

On his actual birthday, we went to Lido's with Granny for lunch and then my mom and dad grilled burgers and made brownies for our family.

Cam made Bren this card which was the wrapping paper as well.  Bren's laptop died recently so we gave him some money to help out the purchase of a new one.  I taped all 20 bills together and rolled them up in a box.  They came out like tissue paper!  It was kinda funny!

I think he had a great time turning 17.  Life with Bren living at home is moving by so quickly!

Family Night at the Zoo

Back on September 21st, we went to the Family Night at the Zoo for zoo members.  We met two of my sisters there and had a great time.  Cam got his photo with Captain America.  The kids waded in the "creek" in the kid's section.

They had a teddy bear clinic for the kid's stuffed animals.

Cam was excited to see the snakes.  Maybe a little worried, too!

We had a nice picnic dinner and then off to find the komodo dragon.

We had a great time seeing some animals and playing with family!

Bubba turns 17!

He's a great brother and a super-helper, he's handsome...

He's smart and witty and now he's a legal driver...

He loves rappelling and hanging out with friends, he is not a little boy anymore.

Happy birthday, Bren.  I am so proud of you and I pray that God's blessings abound in your life as you continue to work towards being a "grown-up".  Thank you for being such a good kid, helping me so much and for blessing me!  I love you!
