One Word Resolution

So, it's been a rocky start to the new year but here we are almost half way through the first month. Today is Baby Cait's 7 month birthday but I'll post her precious pictures later.

I just got through reading a blog called Grit and Glory. Her post about One Word Resolutions inspired me.

My resolution for 2011...

Forgiveness

I don't want to harbor unforgiveness this year. I want to forgive before my heart has even taken offense. This can only happen with God's grace, so I hope you will pray for me this year. That my heart's bitterness will dissolve into forgiveness. If HE can forgive my sins, surely I can extend forgiveness for much, much smaller offenses.

What a powerful word! Love this! I have learned (the hard way) that forgiving someone heals ME even if they don't care if I forgive them or not....

I read once.. 'Holding on to bitterness is like drinking poison and hoping your enemy will die'.

Blessings to you as you walk the road of forgiveness. Praying for you,
Melanie :)
