Lots of craft projects have been going on around here the last two months.
I had fun teaching myself to make a quilt as I made 8 mini quilts for 4 nieces, 2 nephews and my two little ones.
Time seemed to creep by so we made some sugar cookies that we hadn't gotten to this Christmas season. It was a good time!
We spent a quiet morning at our house opening gifts and eating monkey bread and potato/ham casserole. After noon, we went to my mom's house and enjoyed spending time with "Gramma and Papa" and my sisters. We also enjoyed Mom & Dad's yummy Christmas Dinner. We headed down to Lawton around 8 that night to finish off Christmas Day with "Granny and PawPaw".
Most of the week after Christmas was spent relaxing in Lawton, playing with Christmas toys. Granny & PawPaw had a broken TV that JC & Brendan had to take to the dumpster. Brendan had fun taking an axe to it. Brendan also tried several times to explode a soda bottle with baking soda and vinegar. It always ended up involving a BB gun.
PawPaw got Thunder tickets for Christmas and was kind enough to take us along with him. We had a great dinner at Zios and then off to the game. We were a little worried about how Cait would handle the extreme noise but she did pretty good, including sleeping for the first hour of the game. The game was exciting and our team even won! We were glad to be out of Bricktown and the cold before it got too late!
We are sure that "Twenty Eleven" will be a great year!
We pray for the Lord's blessings to be poured out on our family and friends.
May the light of His face shine upon you (Ps 4:6)
May He take great delight in you, quiet you with His love and rejoice over you with His singing (Zep 3:17)
