Days are going by so fast around here. Bren started school on August 13th. He has already completed Dave Ramsey's Personal Finance and is now on his second week of Economics, starting with an excellent and highly recommended book: Whatever Happened to Penny Candy by Richard Maybury. Cam will start school officially tomorrow.
Lily tried her first bites of avocado and sweet potato. She is very interested in watching us eat and drinking out of any type of cup but developmentally she is not quite ready for food.Cait has learned the color PINK. And she likes it. Every time she wears something pink she says Bella (her cousin's name). And she even asked if she was a princess (said more like prince-says).
Cait and Cam have kept busy playing while Bren & I focus on school. They do good about half the time!
We have tried to go on walks in the evening. Now that Lily can sit up, she fits in the little stroller very well. Cait loves to help push.
Cam wore this outfit for a walk one night. PJ shorts and cowboy boots. Nice.
Bren now plays the bass so well he can look up a song and play it. I love listening to him play and I'm proud that he's worked so hard at it.
Look at those eyes!
The girls love to sit on the counter and "help" mama cook dinner.
I made some "busy bags" for Cait. Decorate cupcakes, popsicle colors and button felt. They worked for all of one morning. Hopefully they'll keep her busy again after she forgets about them.
Lily loves to sit in the high chair while we're at the table.
Cam, Cait, Lily and I sit on the floor while we all listen to Whatever Happened to Penny Candy?
JC & I have been very diligent to have a weekly date. We've been doing this for about 2 months and it has helped us have better communication, a stronger marriage and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of life.
Labor Day weekend was spent with family and friends in Lawton.
It was a hot but perfect day for pool time and grilling.
This past Friday we headed back to PE class. The boys really enjoy this class and it's great to visit with moms there. It is right in the middle of Cait's nap time, however. This week, Cam was invited to the movies with Bella and the Abla's so we met up with them while Bren was in PE. Cait snuck in a partial nap in the car.
"Look, mama. Pink!" Such a cute stinker!
Lily. She can already scoot around. Won't belong before she's mobile. Reaching. And she got it!
Our goal is to stay home more this year. Read more books. Learn. Love. Seek AND find God's blessings.

My goodness, not a nonbusy moment! For sure, Cait is a princess, perfect in her pink. And when Lily smiles, she beams love from heaven. Personally, I like cowboy boots, even with pj's. You take your schooling with you all your life. Nothing is more important to success than a strong foundation in your personal finances...hooray for Brendan and Dave Ramsey!
