Well Planned Day

Little Cameron

Tomorrow Cameron goes for his Cycstic Fibrosis test and then to the dietician. Hopefully the day will go well.

He was weighed on Thursday and was 22.4 pounds. Same as he's been for months. He has been drinking 1-2 Pediasures a day for 2 weeks and it hasn't made any difference in his weight. That's an extra 500 calories a day...with no results. Rrrrrrr!!!

Maybe he's just small...maybe he's not absorbing the nutrients from the food that he eats...maybe it's something more. I don't know. We'll see a gastro-intestinal dr. after these tests come back.

The best part of all this is that God has reminded me that I'm not promised tomorrow and I'm not promised to have my children tomorrow. I have been slowing down and enjoying the simple moments with them.

Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.
~James 4: 13-17

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
~Proverbs 27:1

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
~Matthew 6:33-34
