Oh, this sweet little beauty turned 18 months - 1.5 years! - on Wednesday. It has been a fast six months since she turned one and she has changed so much!
She just started climbing up and on things but she's been pretty busy since she could move about. Lily has a sweet temperament but she isn't too happy if she's very far from her mama. She still isn't much of an eater but she likes scrambled eggs, yogurt and mac & cheese (although they seem to give her belly aches so she can't have much), BBQ potato chips, green beans and fruit.
She only has a few words that she says clearly, including "mama" and "dada". She has a special "Lily" way of saying things like "balloon", "pillow", "flower", "baby" (sounds a lot like "dada"), "thank you" (sounds like uh-uh), "outside" (ah). She has some great sayings, "love you" (one word - of-ew), "here it is" (ea-uh). She can also sign, "more", "all done", "please", "milk" and "thank you". Despite her few words, she seems to be doing well communicating.
I recently weighed the girls; Lily weighs 24 pounds and Cait is at 23. The are so cute in how they are becoming friends and starting to really play together. I am amazed at God's design, how Lily and Cait are so different from each other. Cait is a real go-getter and very independent. Lily is shy and a little nervous around people she doesn't know. We are so blessed by each unique child we have. Thank you, God, for these blessings.

The girls will have a bond that cannot be broken. The best thing about their being different - they will not have a need to compete. Each will will have their own special gifts. They truly are blessings from God.
