"Oh My Goodness"

That's my favorite quote from my niece, Bella (my post title). It's so cute to hear her say it!

Friday started out with a bang! First, we watched The Tale of Despereaux.

Then we went to help my sister work on their floor. Cameron & Bella got a chance to play in the pool and eat Popsicles. Yum!

We got home and were greeted by Granny & PawPaw. We ate a delicious dinner and then Cameron got to open a few presents before bed.

I told Cameron to "hold it up for a picture" and he did just that!

Cameron had fun opening his "mail" from Aunt Laura & Uncle Miguel! You might have to click on the picture to get a good look at his face!

Saturday we woke up early to get ready for our morning birthday party. Eight friends and a couple of their siblings came over for a fun morning of water play. Lots of family came to celebrate too! Thank you, Leslie, for the very fun, very cool birthday invitations!

Just like last year, Cameron was mesmerized by the cake!

Thank you, Gramma, for all your hard work. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job, especially with your attic fall injury. We love you!

They party was a great hit. Granny & PawPaw got Cameron this way cool pirate ship pool that the kids had a blast in!

Cameron's party was construction theme. It was so much fun to decorate for!

After the party, family members joined us for a trip on the Oklahoma River on the Oklahoma River Cruise! We parked at Meridian Landing and got on the boat. It was a 1-1/2 hour ride to Bricktown.

It was a beautiful day to enjoy the view from the boat deck!

Here's pictures as we approach the Locks. This was pretty neat! The part of the river we are on in these pictures is 9' higher than the following section.

They maneuver the boat into a small section, the water drains out and lowers us down. The second picture is looking back at the Locks.

Here's the gate as it begins to open to let us through to the lower section. The captain told us that fish get trapped when the water is lowered and become very easy dinner for the birds!

After the cruise, we took a trolley to Chelino's for dinner

Joseph, the non-makeup wearing, balloon twisting clown came by our table at Chelino's. Cam & Bella loved that! Bella got a yellow ladybug and Cam got a dino!

And, of course, it was an adventure...even beyond all this! We missed the trolley that was supposed to take us back to Meridian Landing. The kids were all so tired, okay, so were the adults. Then we found out the next trolley was an hour wait!!! Yikes! My sister drove several of the guys in our party to pick up cars and drive back to pick up the rest of us. (Thanks, Lyn & Allison!) While loading the cars, Cameron dumped our To-Go box in Granny's new car.

Oh well, we all survived the day. Overall, I think it was very successful. Cameron got a whole stack of new books, the weed eater that he's asked for for months and many, many more cool presents. Cameron is sleeping soundly in his bed, all snuggled up with the bulldozer from his cake.
